On October 14, Vice Premier of the State Council Ding Xuexiang met in Beijing with Mozambique’s Prime Minister Levy, who was visiting China to attend the Global Women’s Summit.

Ding Xuexiang stated that China and Mozambique share a traditionally friendly relationship and are trustworthy partners who support each other. This year marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Mozambique. President Xi Jinping and President Chabo exchanged congratulatory messages, setting the direction for deepening future bilateral relations. China is willing to work with Mozambique to continuously strengthen political mutual trust and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation across various fields under the framework of high-quality Belt and Road cooperation and the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, promoting the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries to new heights.

Levy expressed that Mozambique values the brotherly friendship with China and sincerely appreciates China’s long-term valuable support for Mozambique’s national independence and socio-economic development. Mozambique is willing to further expand practical cooperation with China across various fields.
