Speaking at the program, it was stated that recently, natural disasters have caused significant damage in many localities, especially in the Central region, Northwest region, and some suburban districts of Hanoi. Many residents are facing difficulties, lacking housing, food, and medicine. Additionally, there are still many households in difficult circumstances in the area that need support.

In response to this situation, the local Party Committee called on agencies, units, businesses, and residents to actively support the “For the Poor” Fund and help people affected by natural disasters.

To ensure the campaign achieves practical and effective results, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee requested that party cells, residential groups, and political-social organizations strengthen propaganda and mobilization efforts among officials, party members, association members, union members, and the general public, creating strong resonance and high consensus throughout society.

The People’s Committee and the Fatherland Front Committee will closely coordinate to receive, manage, and distribute support resources to the right beneficiaries and for the right purposes, ensuring transparency and openness. Agencies, units, and businesses operating in the area are encouraged to continue demonstrating social responsibility and actively participate in support activities with the spirit of “a little help when needed is worth more than abundant help when not needed.”

It was called for officials, party members, and residents to actively respond to the peak month “For the Poor” through practical actions such as donating money, goods, essential items, or labor, contributing to helping people in difficult circumstances improve their lives.

It was reported that the area currently has nearly 100 households in difficult circumstances, 497 social welfare beneficiaries, and 98 children in special circumstances who need support.

The Fatherland Front Committee called on businesses, organizations, and individuals to actively contribute to the “For the Poor” Fund, joining hands to help newly escaped poverty households overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives, and contribute to building a more prosperous and civilized community.

During the peak month “For the Poor” and social welfare activities, gifts were presented to 51 households in difficult circumstances in the area, with each household receiving 1 million VND (from the local “For the Poor” Fund).

Also at the program, local leaders and delegates directly contributed to support people in provinces and cities affected by storms and floods.
