Hyderabad, BJP MP and Jubilee Hills by-election monitoring committee member M. Raghu Nandan Rao has alleged that the ruling Congress party has made a secret deal with the Majlis party in the Jubilee Hills by-election. Warning the people of Jubilee Hills, he said that if Congress is voted for by mistake, it would be equivalent to voting for the Majlis party, which would pose a threat to the future of Bhagyanagar.
Addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Bhavan, MP Raghu Nandan Rao stated that Congress has made an internal deal with Majlis regarding the upcoming GHMC elections in December. Without naming Naveen Yadav, he alleged that the candidate Congress has decided to field in the Jubilee Hills constituency is also a name suggested by the Majlis party.
Raghu Nandan Rao said that once the ruling Congress party officially announces its candidate, the public will know whether the candidate belongs to Congress or is a name suggested by Majlis. He also questioned the Majlis party, asking why it is not contesting the by-election in Jubilee Hills constituency where the party was born in Bhagyanagar and where it secured second position with 41,456 votes in the 2014 elections. He said that Congress was in third position at that time.
Raghu Nandan’s Allegations on Majlis Party and Congress Deal
Raghu Nandan further stated that in the upcoming elections in Bihar, the Majlis party is fielding candidates on 30 seats. He said that in the 2020 Bihar elections, Majlis contested 20 seats, while in the 2021 Tamil Nadu elections it contested 3 seats, and in the 2022 Uttar Pradesh elections it contested 95 seats. He informed that in West Bengal elections it contested 6 seats, in Uttarakhand it contested 20 seats and won 4, in Rajasthan it contested 10, in Madhya Pradesh 4, in Maharashtra it contested 16 seats and won 1.
In Jharkhand, it contested 1 seat but lost. In recent Delhi elections, it contested 2 seats. In Telangana assembly elections, it contested 9 seats. That means wherever elections are held across the country, the Majlis party definitely fields candidates, but why is it not contesting the Jubilee Hills by-election in Bhagyanagar where Majlis was born? What is the secret behind not fielding a candidate here?
