The Depok Public Works and Spatial Planning Office (DPUPR) is actively improving road infrastructure quality. The current project being expedited is the bridge repair on Ketapang Road, Kedaung Village, Sawangan District, which is part of the 2025 development program.

Work on this vital bridge connecting Ketapang Road and Pahlawan Road began on August 4 and is targeted for completion on October 18, 2025, according to the work contract. The budget allocated for this project reaches Rp281 million.

Water Flow Obstacles Overcome Through Cross-Sector Coordination

The technical specifications of the bridge were detailed. The repairs include a bridge four meters wide and three to four meters long. Meanwhile, the abutment walls are 3.5 meters wide with a beam thickness of 50 cm and a floor thickness of 20 cm.

One of the biggest challenges in the field was controlling the river flow. To address this, the DPUPR team quickly coordinated with the Sawangan Lake water gate keeper to partially close the water gate. Additionally, they closed the upstream kistdam to divert water to the channel on Abdul Wahab Road.

“As of October 1, 2025, the concreting of the P2 abutment on the Abdul Wahab Road side has been completed. Work is now entering the stage of concreting the P1 pilecap towards Kedaung Village,” showing significant progress.

Residents are asked for patience as work continues. It was confirmed that, so far, work progress is on target with the established implementation schedule.
