The Tangerang City Government inaugurates a new route for the Feeder Si Benteng public transport service to Poris–Alam Sutera and Poris–Green Lake.

TANGERANG – The Tangerang City Government has further expanded its public transport service by inaugurating two new Feeder Si Benteng routes. These routes serve the Poris–Alam Sutera and Poris–Green Lake destinations.

With this addition, the total number of urban transport services in Tangerang City now reaches 15 corridors. This consists of 11 Si Benteng corridors and 4 Tayo Bus corridors.

The presence of these two new routes is part of the Tangerang City Government’s effort to continuously improve transportation services for the community.

“This is a form of encouragement and also a request from the community, so that access to transport services is closer and more affordable. On the occasion of National Transportation Day, all intra-city transportation in Tangerang City is free for the public,” the Mayor explained.

The Governor of Banten, who was also present, expressed appreciation for the Tangerang City Government’s step in expanding public transport services.

“I highly appreciate the step taken by the Tangerang City Government in responding to the needs of the urban community. Hopefully, this can serve as an example for other cities and regencies in Banten Province,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Tangerang City Transportation Department explained that the launch of these two new routes was carried out without adding new vehicles, but rather through optimization of existing corridors.

“Based on our assessment, the demand for transportation on these two routes is very high because there are economic centers, residential areas, and schools there. We are optimizing the use of vehicles from existing corridors,” he stated.

“However, on this National Transportation Day, the Tangerang City Government is also rejuvenating the Tayo Buses on Corridor One. Hopefully, this will attract more public attention to actively use public transportation,” he added.

With the introduction of these two new routes, the Tangerang City Government reaffirms its commitment to providing safe, comfortable, affordable public transportation and supporting the improvement of the urban community’s quality of life.

Poris–Alam Sutera

Poris–Alam Sutera is a modern, large-scale residential and commercial township located in Tangerang, near Jakarta, Indonesia. It was developed on what was originally industrial land, being transformed since the early 2000s into a planned, integrated city known for its shopping malls, hospitals, and educational facilities. Poris–Green Lake

Poris–Green Lake is a unique flooded quarry in Germany’s Lusatian Lake District, known for its striking turquoise-green waters.
