A fisherman in Da Nang went fishing at sea but did not return, and his boat drifted ashore with his personal documents.
On the afternoon of August 8, border guards and local residents were coordinating search efforts for a fisherman who went missing while fishing at sea.
As of now, the border patrol has not found any trace of the missing fisherman.
Earlier on the afternoon of August 7, the family reported that a 72-year-old man from Quang Phu Ward, Da Nang, had gone fishing by boat but had not returned home by evening.
At the same time, locals discovered a boat adrift near the shore of Tam Xuan Commune, Da Nang.
The boat was empty, containing only personal items such as a phone, a leaf hat, a lighter, some freshly caught fish, and identification documents belonging to the man.

Locals suspect the man may have encountered an accident while fishing at sea and alerted authorities.
Fearing a maritime accident, Tam Thanh Border Station dispatched officers, soldiers, and residents to search for the victim overnight. However, since the man was fishing alone, it has been difficult to determine the exact location of his disappearance.
By this morning, the border station mobilized additional patrol boats and personnel, dividing into three search teams—one by sea and two along the coastline.
Tam Thanh Border Station also coordinated with Quang Phu Ward to mobilize additional resources to continue the search.

On July 20, authorities in Co Dam Commune, Ha Tinh, reported that search efforts were underway for another fisherman who went missing after his boat capsized at sea.
