The semifinal matchups for the Southern region of the 2025 Vietnam Workers and Public Employees Football Tournament have been officially revealed.

On the afternoon of October 12, the four quarterfinal matches in the Southern region concluded with the following results: Da Nang Union defeated An Giang Union (1-0), Sacombank beat Le Bao Minh (1-0), Sawaco defeated Dong Nai Union 1 (6-1), and Khanh Hoa Union beat Quang Ngai Union (2-0).

With these results, in the semifinals, Da Nang Union will face Sawaco and will clash with Khanh Hoa Union at 7:30 AM tomorrow (October 13).

The team from the Han River faces their biggest challenge since the start of the tournament, serving as a crucial test for their ambitions.

Meanwhile, Sacombank and Khanh Hoa Union promise to deliver an extremely exciting matchup. Both teams are considered top contenders for the Southern regional championship title.

While the banking team boasts numerous stars from semi-professional leagues, Khanh Hoa has assembled many prominent figures from beach soccer. The fact that one of these two teams won’t reach the final will certainly leave many tournament fans disappointed.

Results of today’s quarterfinal matches (October 12)

The 2025 Vietnam Workers and Public Employees Football Tournament is being organized in coordination with multiple organizations. This marks the third consecutive year the tournament has been held.

The 2025 tournament has received support from various corporate sponsors and partners.

The Northern qualifying round took place from October 3 to 5 at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, determining six teams that advanced to the national finals, including the champion People’s Public Security Union.

The Southern qualifying round is currently taking place from October 10 to 13 at Ton Duc Thang University and People’s Police University with the participation of 23 teams.
