This morning, the closing session of the first meeting of the 16th National Assembly
According to the meeting agenda, this morning (April 24), the National Assembly will vote to approve several important draft resolutions and laws, and then close the session.
Notably, the National Assembly will vote to pass the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Personal Income Tax Law, the Value Added Tax Law, the Corporate Income Tax Law, and the Special Consumption Tax Law.
This includes the expected removal of the 500 million VND/year threshold for business households, instead delegating to the government to set specific levels.
The National Assembly will also vote to approve a resolution on the state budget settlement for 2024. Resolutions on the National Assembly’s supervision program for 2027, and a resolution on establishing the National Assembly’s thematic supervision team for 2027.
The National Assembly will vote to pass a resolution on the development of Vietnamese culture, piloting the public defender institution, and establishing Dong Nai city.
Afterwards, the National Assembly will hold a separate session to vote on a resolution regarding special mechanisms and policies to handle land law violations by organizations and individuals that occurred before the 2024 Land Law took effect, and solutions to continue resolving difficulties and obstacles for stalled and prolonged projects.
From 10:30 AM, the National Assembly will hold a closing session, during which it will vote to approve a resolution on the socio-economic development plan for the five-year period 2026-2030.
Vote to approve resolutions on the national five-year financial plan for 2026-2030; the public borrowing and debt repayment plan for 2026-2030. Vote to approve the resolution on the medium-term public investment plan for 2026-2030 and the resolution of the first session of the 16th National Assembly.
Following this, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man will deliver the closing speech. It is expected that after the closing session, the Secretary General – Head of the National Assembly Office will hold a press conference to announce the results of the session.
Vinaconex wants to hold capital in Giay Thuong Dinh
Vietnam Export Import and Construction Joint Stock Corporation (VCG) has just announced the Board of Directors’ decision to approve the policy of buying GTD shares of Giay Thuong Dinh Joint Stock Company.
Accordingly, Vinaconex plans to receive the transfer of 2.23 million shares, equivalent to 24.03% of the charter capital of Giay Thuong Dinh, owned by existing shareholders.
Currently, VCG does not directly hold shares in GTD. However, a related party, An Quy Hung Holding Joint Stock Company, holds 24% of the capital. If the deal is completed, the total consolidated ownership ratio of VCG and An Quy Hung in GTD will rise to 48.03%, approaching the controlling threshold.
The shareholder structure at GTD has also recorded significant fluctuations in the first months of this year.
