Many famous artists such as Trọng Tấn, Cẩm Vân, Võ Hạ Trâm, Hương Tràm, Đức Phúc, Giang Hồng Ngọc… lent their voices in the art program “Independent Star” at three locations in Ho Chi Minh City.

The art program Independent Star is organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Organizing Committee for Major Holidays in coordination with Ho Chi Minh City Television.

Joining the pulse of national pride on National Day September 2nd

The Independent Star art night will take place at 7:30 PM on September 2nd, broadcast live on HTV1 channel, from three locations including (Saigon Ward), Binh Duong Ward Park (Binh Duong Ward), and Tam Thang Square (Vung Tau Ward).

This is one of the activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day.

The event marks a meaningful milestone as Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, and Ba Ria – Vung Tau have become one household since July 1, 2025.

According to the organizers, the Independent Star art program is not only a night of artistic enjoyment but also a tribute to the generations of our forefathers, while awakening pride in every Vietnamese person.

The event also carries contemporary significance as Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, and Ba Ria – Vung Tau have become a regional super metropolis.

Each locality holds a strategic role: Ho Chi Minh City is the center of finance, services, science – technology, and culture. Binh Duong is the core of smart industry, logistics, and creative culture. Meanwhile, Ba Ria – Vung Tau is the international seaport hub, energy, and marine tourism.

Many singers participate in Independent Star

Attending the music night at various locations are singers: Trọng Tấn, Hiền Thục, Hồ Trung Dũng, Võ Hạ Trâm, Thanh Ngọc, Tạ Quang Thắng, Anh Thơ, Hương Tràm, Đức Phúc, Giang Hồng Ngọc, circus performers Phước Hiển – Thanh Hoa, the Lạc Việt group, the Sen Việt group, the Việt Hải dance troupe… and especially artist Lê Thiện.

Songs praising the Party, the country, and love for the homeland will be renewed and newly staged, promising to bring many emotions to the audience.

These include the songs: Đảng đã cho ta một mùa xuân (The Party Gave Us a Spring), Bác Hồ một tình yêu bao la (Uncle Ho – A Vast Love), Lá cờ Tháng Tám (The August Flag), 19 Tháng 8 (August 19th), Đất nước trọn niềm vui (The Country in Complete Joy), Đất nước tình yêu (The Country of Love), Giai điệu tự hào (The Melody of Pride), Nguyện là người Việt Nam (I Vow to Be Vietnamese)

Ho Chi Minh City

Ba Ria – Vung Tau

Saigon Ward

“Saigon Ward” is not a specific historical or cultural site, but rather a general administrative term for a city district in Ho Chi Minh City. These wards are modern administrative subdivisions, with their history being tied to the broader development of the city from the colonial era to the present day.

Vung Tau Ward

Vung Tau is a coastal city and ward in southern Vietnam, historically known as Cap Saint-Jacques during the French colonial era. It served as an important trading port and later became a popular seaside resort destination. Today, it is renowned for its beaches, seafood, and landmarks like the giant Christ the King statue.
