In August 2025, the association mobilized its farmer members to participate in environmental protection activities in anticipation of the National Day celebration on September 2. On August 23 and 24, 316 officials and farmer members participated in general environmental cleanup of village roads and alleys, unclogging drains, and maintaining self-managed farmer roads and tree lines. This helped make living spaces cleaner, tidier, and more beautiful. The Farmers’ Association also coordinated with hamlets and mass organizations to organize general cleanup campaigns and collect waste in the community, as well as at processing and production sites.
A resident from Hamlet 3 – Song Phương shared that regular cleaning helps reduce the risk of diseases from mosquitoes, flies, rats, etc., and contributes to changing the appearance of residential areas while raising environmental awareness among local people.
Determined to protect the environment and keep it clean and beautiful, the Farmers’ Association of Sơn Đồng commune intensified propaganda and mobilization efforts to raise awareness and responsibility among officials and farmer members. They actively participated in protecting the environment, maintaining hygiene on streets, alleys, residential areas, rivers, lakes, ponds, canals, and drainage systems; and collecting waste, pesticide packaging, livestock waste, etc., in designated areas.
Farmer members of Sơn Đồng commune also played a key role in building, maintaining, and sustaining models such as “Self-Managed Farmer Road Sections” and “Farmer Tree Lines.” They maintained hygiene at outdoor sports equipment installation points and continued to respond to the contest “Keeping Hamlets and Residential Areas Bright – Green – Clean – Beautiful – Safe” launched by the commune’s People’s Committee.
