Vietjet and Muang Thai Insurance have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to promote insurance, sports, culture, and community development.
The joint venture Vietjet Thailand, with nearly 1,500 Thai employees, represents the friendly cooperation between the two countries. The airline currently operates 22 aircraft, including 10 new-generation Boeing 737-8 planes, and is increasingly loved by the Thai people as part of modern life.
The event marked an inspiring meeting between two influential female leaders in Southeast Asia: Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao – Chairwoman of Vietjet, and Mrs. Nualphan Lamsam (“Madam Pang”), CEO of Muang Thai Insurance, who is also the President of the Football Association of Thailand (FAT).
Signing in Bangkok marks an inspiring meeting between two influential female leaders in Southeast Asia: Madam Pang and Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao.
One person carries the aspiration to connect the skies, the other dedicates her heart to football, and they meet at the common ground of belief, kindness, and the desire to bring people closer through sports, culture, and human values.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao shared: “Flights connect cities, while sports connect people’s hearts. We believe that the partnership between Vietjet and Muang Thai Insurance will spread the good values of Vietnam-Thailand friendship and inspire the younger generation in the region.”
For over a decade, Vietjet has steadfastly accompanied Vietnamese football and futsal through various sponsorship activities, community sports development, and support for national teams.
In Thailand, Madam Pang is a special symbol of the country’s football. As the first female President in FAT history, she has contributed to promoting youth football, women’s football, and the professionalization of the Thai League with positive energy and a love for sports.
Madam Pang shared: “On behalf of Muang Thai Insurance, we are delighted to partner with Vietjet Group in enhancing passenger protection through travel insurance solutions, while also exploring deeper insurance cooperation opportunities. More importantly, this partnership extends beyond business to sports and social community development, areas where both organizations truly care about and share a common vision. Alongside the cooperation opportunities between our organizations, I sincerely thank the Vietnamese people, especially football fans, for always giving me a warm welcome and friendly feelings whenever I visit Vietnam.”
According to the cooperation agreement, the two sides will jointly research travel insurance and non-life insurance initiatives for passengers on Vietjet Group’s extensive flight network, while promoting youth football development, cultural exchanges, and promoting the image of Vietnam and Thailand to the world.
Along with expanding the international flight network, Vietjet and Muang Thai Insurance aim to bring the values of aviation, football, culture, and the ASEAN community further onto the international stage, contributing to elevating the image of Vietnam, Thailand, and Southeast Asia.
