Hanoi Chairman issues urgent dispatch to support families of victims in Quang Ninh boat accident
On July 20, the Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, Tran Sy Thanh, signed and issued Official Dispatch No. 07/CD-UBND regarding support and condolences for the families of victims residing in Hanoi in the Blue Bay 58 tourist boat capsizing incident in Quang Ninh Province.
The dispatch was sent to the Directors of the Departments of Health, Home Affairs, and Finance, as well as the Chairpersons of the People’s Committees of the communes and wards: Hoang Liet, Ha Dong, Dai Thanh, An Khanh, Hong Van, and Thuong Tin.
In the document, the Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee requested the relevant units and localities to implement the directives of the Prime Minister in Official Dispatch No. 115/CD-TTg dated July 20, 2025, regarding continued search and rescue efforts and support for the families of victims of the Blue Bay 58 tourist boat capsizing in Quang Ninh Province. The aim is to promptly provide encouragement and assistance to the families of victims who are citizens of Hanoi.
The Chairman of the People’s Committee directed the Department of Health to take the lead, in coordination with the Department of Finance and relevant agencies, to urgently propose policies supporting deceased and injured victims, reporting to the People’s Committee before 4:00 PM on July 20, 2025. Additionally, all units and localities were instructed to arrange the best medical conditions for treating the injured.
The Department of Home Affairs was assigned to oversee support for organizing proper funeral arrangements for the victims. The Chairpersons of the People’s Committees of the wards and communes—Hoang Liet, Ha Dong, Dai Thanh, An Khanh, Hong Van, and Thuong Tin—were tasked with conducting timely visits, providing material and emotional support, and creating the best possible conditions for the affected families to stabilize their lives as soon as possible. They were also required to report any matters beyond their authority to the People’s Committee.
