(Dân trí) – Vũ Đức Tĩnh and his accomplices are accused of establishing Bankland Company, fabricating a “golden land” real estate project, selling fake stocks, and raising funds with high interest rates to embezzle nearly 480 billion VND from investors.

The People’s Procuracy of Hanoi has issued an indictment prosecuting Vũ Đức Tĩnh (45 years old) and his accomplices for the crime of Fraudulent appropriation of property.

According to the indictment, Tĩnh discussed and agreed with Quản Văn Dương and Nguyễn Thị Như to establish Bankland Company. Tĩnh covered all establishment costs and directly directed the company’s operations.

To build trust with investors, Bankland Company regularly organized conferences, introduced and sold real estate projects, and promoted them to attract thousands of participants.

This group also opened 4 domestic offices to showcase operations when customers came to learn about investments, while promoting the company’s image, offering promotional programs such as land, gold, and car giveaways, along with various high-interest investment packages to lure participants.

The indictment determined that Bankland Company advertised ownership of many real estate projects in prime locations. However, in reality, the land plots held by the company were agricultural land, not yet converted for use, and not yet granted project investment permits.

One of the projects this group presented to attract investment was the “golden land commercial – service complex Hồng Vân” in Cẩm Cơ hamlet, Hồng Vân commune, Hanoi. According to the prosecuting agency, Bankland Company self-fabricated a project consisting of 29 land plots to advertise to customers. Those wanting to invest had to deposit from 50 million VND or more and pay money into the company’s account under the form of a “Good faith deposit slip”.

With this scheme, Tĩnh, Như, Dương and their accomplices are accused of embezzling over 2.3 billion VND in deposits from 20 victims. After learning the projects were fake and not licensed, investors demanded the return of their deposits. Bankland Company refunded a total of 560 million VND to 12 people, while embezzling over 1.8 billion VND.

According to the indictment, the land area sold by Bankland Company was perennial crop land, not yet converted for land use purposes, and not yet granted project permits, so by regulation, it was not allowed to be subdivided or sold as plots.
