On the afternoon of August 15, the Party Committee of the Hanoi People’s Committee held the preparatory session for its first Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term, with 271 official delegates in attendance.

Attending the preparatory session were members of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People’s Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the City People’s Committee, and Head of Hanoi City Party Committee’s Task Force No. 3.

Also present were members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, City Party Committee members who are Vice Chairmen of the City People’s Committee, and 271 official delegates representing nearly 21,000 party members from 61 grassroots Party organizations under the Party Committee of the Hanoi People’s Committee.

During the preparatory session, the Congress approved the preparatory agenda, elected the Presidium, the Secretariat, and the Delegates’ Credentials Verification Board.

The Congress also approved the official session’s agenda and working regulations. Additionally, discussions were held on the documents for the 14th Party Congress and the 18th City Party Congress.

The first Congress of Delegates of the Party Committee of the Hanoi People’s Committee for the 2025-2030 term focused on two main tasks: reviewing the implementation of resolutions from the 2020-2025 term and setting goals and tasks for the 2025-2030 term; discussing and contributing opinions to draft documents for the 14th Party Congress and the 18th City Party Congress.
