The Royal Commission for Riyadh City announced the activation of a traffic diversion at the intersection of King Salman Road and Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Road, as part of the project to construct a bridge at the intersection of King Salman Road and Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Road.
The Commission explained that the traffic diversion was implemented in coordination with the General Traffic Department of the Riyadh Region, as part of efforts to develop the road network and enhance traffic flow in the capital, in line with the goals of improving quality of life and facilitating mobility within the city.
King Salman Road
King Salman Road is a major highway in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, named in honor of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. It was developed as part of a large-scale urban expansion to alleviate traffic congestion and improve connectivity across the capital city. The road reflects the kingdom’s modern infrastructure initiatives and its history of rapid development in the 21st century.
Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Road
Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Road is a major thoroughfare found in many cities across the Arab and Muslim world, named in honor of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, the first Caliph in Islam and a close companion of the Prophet Muhammad. The road’s history is modern, but its name commemorates the early Islamic era and the leadership that followed the Prophet’s death, serving as a common tribute to this foundational figure in Islamic history.
