His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region, sponsored this evening the graduation ceremony of the 17th batch of students from Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, held at the sports stadium on the university campus in Al-Kharj Governorate.

Upon his arrival at the ceremony venue, His Highness was received by His Royal Highness Prince Fahd bin Mohammed bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Kharj, and the university president, Professor Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Tamim, along with several university leaders.

After the royal anthem, the ceremony began with recitations from the Holy Quran, followed by the announcement of honors for all academic degrees. His Highness and the attendees then watched a national operetta for the occasion.

Following that, a speech by the graduates was delivered, in which they thanked His Highness the Governor of Riyadh Region for sponsoring and honoring the ceremony marking the culmination of their academic journey. They expressed their joy and happiness at reaping the fruits of their efforts in seeking knowledge and serving the nation and its leadership.

Afterward, the university president, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Tamim, delivered a speech on this occasion. He expressed gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their support and attention to education, research, and innovation.

Dr. Al-Tamim praised the patronage of His Highness the Governor of Riyadh Region for this occasion, expressing his happiness and appreciation for His Highness’s presence.

He said: “The university today celebrates the graduation of approximately 9,000 male and female graduates. This occasion highlights the role of education in achieving the aspirations of our wise government, which has given great attention to knowledge, supported its institutions, and established the foundations for its development.” He congratulated the graduates on this achievement and urged them to strive for new accomplishments to serve their nation and community.

Then, His Highness and the attendees watched a visual presentation titled “With Determination, We Reach the Peak.”

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the university president and vice presidents had the honor of taking group photos with His Highness the Governor of Riyadh Region.

Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University is one of the modern public universities in the Kingdom. It was founded in 1430 AH (2009 AD), after being a branch of King Saud University in the southern governorates of Riyadh Region, before becoming an independent university bearing the name of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz.
