Prominent security successes were announced by Major General Mutahar al-Shuaibi, Director of Security for the temporary capital Aden, amid scattered news of conflicts and deterioration in other parts of Yemen. Al-Shuaibi confirmed that continuous development in coordination between security agencies and military units, along with cooperation with local authorities and the Ministry of Interior, contributed to the arrest of assassination cells in record time through calculated movements within Aden, extending to neighboring provinces such as Abyan and Lahj in coordination with relevant bodies.

In a statement, the Director of Aden Security said: “Joint work and integration between institutions are the foundation of success in maintaining security and stability,” emphasizing the importance of enhancing the efficiency of security performance and successfully handling emerging emergencies.

Al-Shuaibi pointed out that the current phase requires greater cooperation between official bodies and the local community, as Aden has witnessed a state of security stability and notable development in performance. “Security cannot be achieved in isolation from the community, which is the first line of defense; community cooperation represents a fundamental pillar in strengthening stability and laying the foundations of security,” according to his remarks.

The Security Director noted that priorities in the coming phase include completing what has been started, preserving achievements, working to enhance security and stability, raising the level of readiness and security coordination, and developing the institutional performance of police agencies and staff skills. He also discussed plans to develop the institutional structure in districts and update security work methods to keep pace with evolving crime methods.

Al-Shuaibi explained that the field campaigns carried out by the Aden Security Directorate represent an important part of the security plan and directly contribute to apprehending security wanted individuals, maintaining a security presence among citizens, curbing illegal weapons, combating disturbing phenomena, and addressing any emerging emergencies.
