More than 700,000 male and female students in Jeddah schools started their school day this Sunday morning, marking the beginning of the 1447H academic year, amid comprehensive service preparations that the General Administration of Education in Jeddah Governorate has been working on since early on.
The schools welcomed back male and female students, confirming that all preparations for the launch of the school year have been completed, including the preparation of school buildings, provision of textbooks, and distribution of educational and administrative staff, ensuring a serious and disciplined start, and the resumption of the journey of learning in light of the great support the education sector is witnessing.
Jeddah’s gifted schools received their first batch of male and female students within two specialized tracks. The cultural gifted schools began receiving students of the Arts and Culture Academy launched by the Ministry of Education in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, aiming to develop cultural talents and refine their skills in the fields of visual arts, performing arts, and music.
At the same time, the technical secondary gifted schools received the first batch of male and female students through a partnership with Tuwaiq Academy, enabling them to develop their abilities in advanced technology fields such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, programming, and others.
On a related note, the schools held welcoming programs and events for students, aimed at supporting their launch with a positive spirit, in addition to promoting values among them through the organization of the mobile exhibition “Our Education is Values” from Saad bin Al-Rabee’ Elementary School, which aims to enhance 6 core values among students through its sections, including belonging to the homeland, commitment, honesty, tolerance, determination, and cooperation, and consolidating educational and pedagogical values.
It is worth mentioning that Jeddah Education is implementing during the first week a number of preparation and guidance programs, directed at students and teachers, to enhance the readiness of the educational field and achieve a school year full of giving and accomplishment.
