Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on his allies to speed up the imposition of new sanctions on Russia on Thursday, after Moscow launched a nighttime attack lasting hours on Ukraine with hundreds of drones and missiles.

Zelensky stated on social media: “Sanctions must be imposed more quickly, and the pressure on Russia must be strong enough for it to feel the consequences of its terrorism,” noting that Russia had launched around 18 missiles and 400 drones.

Amid increasing visits by Russian officials to Pyongyang and the strengthening of military ties between the two countries, Russia’s Foreign Minister is visiting North Korea this week.

It was announced that the Foreign Minister “will visit the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea from July 11 to 13” to participate in the “second round of strategic dialogue at the foreign ministers’ level.”

North Korea’s news agency noted that the visit comes in response to an invitation from North Korea’s Foreign Ministry.
