What did Yassle say about Al-Ahly’s draw with Al-Shabab?
Matthias Jaissle, the technical director of Al-Ahli club, expressed his sadness after the draw against Al-Shabab, with one goal for each team, in the match that brought the two teams together as part of the fifth round of the Roshn Saudi Professional League competition, which was held at the Al-Inma Stadium.
Jaissle said in statements during the match’s press conference: “The match against Al-Shabab was difficult as we expected. There were many physical clashes, and we did not reach the required level in the match. We should have created more danger, and this is the nature of football – if you don’t score, you will concede, and this is clear. In the 78th minute, an Al-Shabab player reached a dangerous position, and there should have been enough players in the penalty area.”
He continued: “I always strive to find the best 11 players on the field, and everything depends on the result. If the result had been different, the approach would have been different.”
He concluded: “I certainly always respect Emmanuel Gwassil, and I will not comment on his statements. When he closes his defenses, we work to find more opportunities and solutions, in addition to creating one-on-one situations, and we will correct the mistakes.”
