The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain expressed its support for the good efforts and endeavors undertaken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, aimed at enhancing security and stability in the Republic of Yemen.

The Kingdom of Bahrain called on all Yemeni forces and components to de-escalate, avoid escalation, resort to dialogue and peaceful solutions, and avoid anything that would undermine security and stability, working to restore peace and security to Yemen in order to preserve the supreme interests of the Yemeni people and achieve security, stability, development, and peace in the Republic of Yemen.

The Secretary-General of the Arab League called for avoiding escalation, prioritizing the supreme interest of the Yemeni people, and adhering to the unity of the country, in light of recent developments in the Hadramawt and Al-Mahra governorates.

Peace and Security in Yemen

The State of Qatar expressed its full support for all efforts that enhance peace and societal security in the Republic of Yemen. In this context, it emphasized the necessity of close cooperation among all Yemeni parties to avoid escalation and resolve outstanding issues through dialogue and peaceful means, preserving Yemen’s unity and territorial integrity.

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed, in a statement, Qatar’s full support for the legitimate Yemeni government and the diligent efforts being made by the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council to end the suffering of the Yemeni people and achieve their aspirations for security, stability, development, and peace.

It also expressed in this context Qatar’s support for the efforts led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, aimed at enhancing security and stability and advancing the de-escalation track in Yemen.

Hadramawt

Hadramawt is a historic region in southern Yemen, renowned for its ancient civilization and as a key hub of the frankincense trade route. It is home to the famous mudbrick skyscrapers of cities like Shibam and Tarim, which have been inhabited for centuries. The region’s history dates back thousands of years, with it being the core of the ancient South Arabian kingdom that prospered from the trade of aromatic resins.

Al-Mahra

Al-Mahra is a governorate in eastern Yemen, historically significant as the homeland of the Mehri people who speak a distinct Modern South Arabian language. Its history is rooted in the ancient incense trade routes, and it was long a remote and semi-autonomous region, later becoming part of various Yemeni states. The area is known for its unique cultural traditions, rugged natural beauty along the Arabian Sea, and frankincense trees.
