The central kitchen of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center distributed the day before yesterday (25,000) hot meals to the most needy families in central and southern Gaza Strip, benefiting (25,000) individuals, as part of the Saudi popular campaign to aid the brotherly Palestinian people in the Strip.
This comes as an extension of the Kingdom’s steadfast positions through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Relief Center, in supporting the brotherly Palestinian people in various crises and ordeals, embodying its noble values and humanitarian mission.
Gaza Strip
The Gaza Strip is a densely populated Palestinian territory on the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea, bordered by Israel and Egypt. Historically part of the British Mandate for Palestine, it came under Egyptian administration after the 1948 Arab-Israeli war before being occupied by Israel in 1967. Since 2007, it has been governed by Hamas, leading to a prolonged Israeli-Egyptian blockade and recurring conflicts that have caused significant humanitarian crises.
King Salman Relief Center
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) is a Saudi Arabian humanitarian organization established in 2015 by royal decree from King Salman bin Abdulaziz. It was created to coordinate and deliver international relief and aid, particularly in response to crises in Yemen and other conflict-affected regions. The center has since become a major global humanitarian player, overseeing thousands of projects in health, food security, education, and emergency response across dozens of countries.
