The National Meteorological Center predicted in its weather report today, Wednesday, moderate to heavy thunderstorms leading to flash floods accompanied by hail and active winds reducing horizontal visibility in the regions of Jazan, Asir, Al Baha, and Makkah.

Meanwhile, the effect of active winds raising dust and sand will continue over the Eastern Region, Madinah, and Makkah, especially coastal areas, reaching near-zero horizontal visibility on the coastal road leading to Jazan.

The report noted that surface wind movement over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to westerly at speeds of 20-48 km/h, reaching 55 km/h in the southern part. Wave heights will range from 1 to 2 meters, reaching 2.5 meters in the southern part, with sea conditions ranging from moderate to rough in the south.

In the Arabian Gulf, the center expects surface winds to be southeasterly to easterly at speeds of 8-28 km/h, with wave heights from half a meter to 1 meter, and the sea will be slight.
