His Highness Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr, Governor of Al-Ahsa, awarded at the governorate headquarters today the Scout Leader Sarah bint Mohammed Al-Otaibi, the first female scout leader in the Eastern Province to receive the Wood Badge, in the presence of a number of officials and educational and scouting leaders, as part of supporting national leaders and empowering young talents in scouting work.
His Highness affirmed that the leader receiving the Wood Badge reflects the quality of scouting training and the effectiveness of the training programs offered, and what the scouting movement in Al-Ahsa Governorate represents as a leadership model reflecting a high level of commitment, discipline, and initiative spirit, stressing the importance of preparing leaders capable of serving the community and contributing to its development.
His Highness pointed out the importance of continuing to support all scouting and educational initiatives that contribute to building a conscious leadership personality, praising the efforts made in this field, and wishing the leader further success in her future career.
For her part, Scout Leader Sarah Al-Otaibi expressed her thanks and gratitude to the Governor of Al-Ahsa for his continuous support and interest in scouting work, affirming that receiving the Wood Badge represents a greater responsibility to continue volunteer and scouting work, and to contribute to developing girls’ skills in this field.
