The State of Qatar welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire in the sisterly Lebanese Republic, considering it an initial step towards de-escalation. It emphasized the necessity of adhering to and urgently building upon it to solidify the calm and prevent the expansion of tension in the region.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Qatar’s appreciation for the mediation and good offices efforts that contributed to reaching the ceasefire announcement. It also expressed hope that this announcement would support regional and international efforts aimed at achieving a comprehensive, just, and sustainable peace in the region.
