The Saudi Arabian under-21 handball team lost to its Egyptian counterpart with a score of 30-35, during the first round of Group H in the 23rd edition of the Under-21 World Championship, which is being held in Poland from June 18 to 29, 2025.
The “Young Green” team displayed a remarkable level, leading by two goals in the first ten minutes, before the Egyptian team managed to turn the score around and finish the first half in their favor with a score of 19-15.
The second half saw intense competition between the two teams, and the Green team succeeded in equalizing the score, but some individual errors contributed to widening the gap in favor of Egypt to six goals, ending the match with a five-goal difference.
Tomorrow (Thursday), the Green team will face the Spanish team at 12:45 PM Mecca time, in the second round, at the Legionowo Hall in Kielce, Poland.
It is noted that the “Young Green” group includes teams from Spain, Egypt, and Bahrain.
