FSB shows video of the detention in Moscow of a suspect accused of transmitting air defense data.
The FSB has released a video showing the detention of a Russian citizen suspected of collaborating with Ukrainian intelligence services. According to investigators, he provided the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) with coordinates of air defense systems in the Moscow region and Krasnodar Krai. He was detained on a street in Moscow. During interrogation, the 26-year-old man admitted his guilt.
The detainee stated that he traveled to Ukraine in 2019 “as an opposition figure” and met with Ukrainian military personnel there. “Upon returning to Moscow, I began collecting information and passed it to Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers,” said the detainee.
A criminal case for high treason (Article 275 of the Russian Criminal Code) has been initiated against the man. The article provides for punishment up to life imprisonment. The suspect has been arrested.
