An emergency power outage in the hero city occurred late in the evening on July 21 due to a fire at a substation.

As a result, streets in Tsemdolina and the villages of Gayduk and Kirillovka were left without electricity. The Novorossiysk Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation into the power outage.

“The investigation will evaluate the causes and conditions of the poor-quality utility services, as well as the actions of the resource-supplying organization and local authorities,” stated the press service of the Krasnodar Krai Prosecutor’s Office.

A major power failure in the Primorsky District of the hero city disabled 10 cable lines. Approximately 11,000 people were left without electricity. By Tuesday morning, specialists had restored power to two connections, bringing electricity back to 3,000 people. As of 6:03 a.m., 8,000 residents and 3 social facilities remained without power due to the accident.

Power was restored to 8,000 Novorossiysk residents by 6:00 p.m. Special equipment, a mobile laboratory, and 20 cable repair specialists continue working on-site.
