In addition to Krasnodar Krai, the top five regions by number of teenage investors included Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov Oblast, and Krasnoyarsk Krai. Currently, most teenage investors are 16–17 years old (31% each), a quarter are 15 years old, and 14% opened a brokerage account at the age of 14. A total of more than 1,000 respondents from various regions of Russia participated in the survey.

Seeing such interest, we decided to find out what inspires young people to invest and what goals they set for themselves. It turned out that 81% of them plan to invest throughout their lives. This is a good sign, showing that even at such a young age, they strive to invest consciously and think long-term. It also emerged that most teenage investors’ parents do not yet have a brokerage account. This means that the interest in investing comes from the teenagers themselves; they enter the market of their own volition and may soon inspire their relatives and friends to start investing by their example.
