Starting September 1, the school day will begin no earlier than 8:00 AM and end no later than 7:00 PM, according to a decree from the Ministry of Education.
Schools will no longer be able to hold “zero lessons” (early morning classes) or operate in three shifts due to the introduced unified schedule for educational institutions.
– Conducting zero lessons and operating in three shifts is not permitted. Second shift classes must end no later than 7:00 PM.
Lessons for fifth and ninth grades must be conducted only during the first shift. This also applies to classes for children with disabilities.
Additionally, starting September 1, schools will limit the amount of homework. First graders should spend one hour on homework, second and third graders – 1.5 hours, and fourth graders – two hours.
Besides homework volume, the number of tests and assessments will also be limited, including nationwide assessments: they should not exceed 10% of the total number of lessons in a subject.
Next week, students and their parents will traditionally present beautiful bouquets to homeroom teachers and favorite educators on September 1. We examined modern trends in floral arrangements and discovered which options are particularly popular this season.
