A man was sentenced in Primorsko-Akhtarsk for illegally fishing 900,000 rubles worth of fish.

Krasnodar, June 17. A man was sentenced in the Primorsko-Akhtarsky district for illegal fishing.

In October 2024, the accused installed 7 gillnets in the waters of the Beisugsky estuary, Yasensky bay, and the Sea of Azov, which are prohibited for recreational fishing.

The man illegally caught 830 shemayas, 74 pikes, 15 perches, 2 meagres, and 1 flounder. The damage to aquatic biological resources was estimated at 909,397 rubles.

The poacher was detained on the shore by the operatives.

In the court session, he fully admitted his guilt. The court sentenced him to 2 years of suspended imprisonment.
