Along the Ussuri Boulevard, benches are installed so that residents can sit and rest during their walk. There used to be benches in the Border Glory Park near the river station, but recently they were removed, and now only trash bins remain. The locals have asked for the seats to be returned.
“Two weeks ago, four benches that were at the very beginning of the park next to the trash bins were removed from the Ussuri Boulevard near the monument to the border guards. Now, there is nowhere for people to sit. When will they be returned?” asked Antonina, a resident of Khabarovsk.
Some residents assumed that the benches were taken away for a good reason: for repair or cleaning. However, the city hall did not disclose the reasons why they decided to remove the benches, only stating that they would not be returned to their place.
