Powerful Fire in Kazan: What is Burning in Yudino?

This morning, June 9, residents of Kazan noticed thick black smoke from different parts of the city. Our readers shared footage from the scene, and all the details of the incident were gathered.

Around 10 a.m., residents of “Salavat Kupere” reported that black smoke was coming from the direction of Yudino. The sky was so obscured that people in the center also observed and speculated about what was happening.

Witnesses later added that a paint and varnish workshop at one of the factories in Yudino was on fire. There were reportedly issues with a solvent tank.

At 09:54, a report of a fire on Revolutionary Street, 80 was received. It was specified that solvent was burning in an open area.

“A third call number has been declared. Units are working on extinguishing the fire and protecting adjacent buildings”.

According to “Yandex Maps”, house number 80 on Revolutionary Street is a vacant lot. It houses private dacha plots. Unconfirmed reports suggest it is an open area of a paint and varnish materials warehouse.
