Bantamweight prospect Kenneth Llover of the Philippines will put his unbeaten record on the line when he faces two-division world champion Luis Concepcion of Panama on Sunday at the Winford Resort and Casino in Manila.
Llover, who holds a 14-0 record with 9 knockouts, described his upcoming bout against Concepcion as a huge challenge.
“This is a huge challenge. He is no joke,” Llover said.
“I respect him because he is a two-division world champion, while I am still working toward my dream of becoming one. He is a good opponent, and this will be a great test of how far I can go. I plan to win by knockout.”
Concepcion, meanwhile, emphasized the mental side of his preparation.
“I have heard many things about my opponent, but it’s just going to be the two of us inside the ring,” said Concepcion, who has a 40-11 record with 29 knockouts.
“The more talented fighter will win this fight. I respect Llover, but this is not just physical preparation but also mental. I am going to win the fight.”
