A total of 48 individuals in the district participated in a free family planning program using the Female Operative Method (MOW), a Long-Term Contraceptive Method (MKJP).

The initiative was organized through collaboration between Graha Medika Padalarang Mother and Child Hospital (GMP) and the District Population Control, Family Planning, Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Agency (DP2KBP3A).

The head of DP2KBP3A stated that participants came from various sub-districts across the region.

“We aim to ensure all women in need of permanent family planning services can access them without financial barriers. This program aligns with our vision for prosperous family development,” they said.

The MOW program coordinator noted that MKJP is particularly suitable for women at high risk if they become pregnant again.

“Most participants in this MOW program are multiparous mothers over 35 years old. They face significant risks with additional pregnancies, making MOW a safe and appropriate choice,” they explained.

They added that the program’s success demonstrates effective synergy between healthcare facilities, technical agencies, and active community participation.

“MOW isn’t just a medical procedure – it’s our tangible commitment to reducing maternal mortality, improving family welfare, and ensuring women’s reproductive rights,” they continued.

The GMP Hospital Director confirmed their medical team had prepared all necessary facilities, personnel, and safety protocols for the program.

“We’re honored to participate. All MOW procedures follow strict sterilization standards, professional execution, and prioritize patient comfort,” they stated.
