Tree Planting Campaign

Bhubaneswar, June 14: A leading aluminum producer in India has launched a major tree planting campaign called “My Tree My Family” in Kalahandi and Rayagada districts of Odisha on the occasion of World Environment Day 2025. The campaign aims to plant over 100,000 fruit-bearing plants, which will benefit more than 30,000 rural families positively.

This initiative has selected nutritious and economically important species such as mango, guava, jackfruit, and moringa, which will contribute not only to environmental protection but also to the empowerment of rural livelihoods. The campaign began with community participation at Balbhadrapur village and the company’s plant premises, involving over 600 employees, senior leadership, school children, government officials, and local community members.

The main message of the “My Tree My Family” campaign is to nurture each plant as a family member, thereby encouraging collective responsibility and environmental awareness. This effort is estimated to offset about 150,000 tons
