Event on export-import in Surat: Emphasis on making India a leader in global trade

Surat. An export-import session on the theme ‘Local to Global’ was held on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at the ‘Prosperity’ auditorium in Nanpura. On this occasion, international trade experts provided detailed information to the entrepreneurs of Surat and South Gujarat about India’s potential in global trade and the increasing opportunities for exports.

The session began with the statement that “Export-import is not just trade, but the backbone of India’s industrial development. The goal is to give international recognition to local products, for which continuous guidance and platforms will be provided.”

It was noted that in the fiscal year 2023-24, India’s trade exports amounted to INR 36.21 trillion, with the government setting an ambitious target to increase
