Recently, Shanghai Jinshan District No. 2 Experimental Primary School and Hong Kong Fung Kai No. 1 Primary School held a sister school partnership ceremony under the theme “Bonding Shanghai and Hong Kong Through Exchange and Mutual Progress.”
During the event, the principals of both schools signed a cooperation agreement. Representatives from each school introduced their educational philosophies and discussed plans for future collaboration in teaching, faculty development, student activities, and curriculum design, aiming to contribute to educational cooperation between Shanghai and Hong Kong.
“The partnership between these two schools is a meaningful step in strengthening ties between Jinshan and Hong Kong, marking the beginning of mutual learning and shared progress,” said a representative. They expressed hope for broader cooperation, including regular exchanges, sharing of advanced teaching methods, joint patriotic education activities, and promoting traditional Chinese culture to nurture talented individuals with global perspectives.

Students from Jinshan No. 2 Experimental Primary School performed dances, jump rope routines, and choir songs for their Hong Kong peers. During interactive workshops, students from both cities participated in activities like ink fan painting, calligraphy, jump rope, and paper circuit making.
In the art room, students collaborated on ink paintings on fans; in the calligraphy class, they practiced Chinese characters; in the gym, jump ropes swung amid laughter; and in the science workshop, paper circuits lit up with creativity. These activities allowed Hong Kong students to experience traditional Chinese culture while sparking their interest in innovation.

Hong Kong teachers and students also toured the Jinshan school, where student guides showcased campus facilities, specialty courses, and school culture. Throughout the event, students from both cities bonded, exchanged contact details, and planted seeds of friendship.
