Profitz (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), a company that plans and operates real estate investments, will open a new hotel, “Transcender Hotel Yokohama” (Yamashita-cho, Naka-ku, Yokohama), on November 14. The official website was launched on September 19, and reservations are now being accepted.
The concept is “REVIVE: A hotel that revives people, sensibilities, and the city.” Taking into account the history of Chinatown, the interior adopts a modern reinterpretation of traditional design.
The main building is a six-story structure with 33 guest rooms and a lounge, and includes three hourly rental private saunas on the basement level. The separate building is a three-story private rental with a private sauna. There are a total of 34 guest rooms, including types that can accommodate up to 7 people and configurations for families and groups. The design blends classical and vintage elements, expressing the memories of Chinatown with contemporary materials.
Food and beverage service in the lounge is provided in collaboration with the char siu specialty store “Chashū Mei,” offering char siu and original menu items. Breakfast is available exclusively for hotel guests, and from 11:00 to 23:00, the lounge operates as a cafe & bar open to the public.
The basement level features “TOJI SAUNA.” It uses a mist environment with the craft onsen “Le Furo,” which contains minerals derived from hot springs, offering a private bathing experience based on the idea of pouring water over oneself. It is designed as a private space exclusively for hotel guests, intended for quiet rest.
Art within the hotel features the work of four artists.
Main room types include the separate building “THE HOUSE” with a capacity of 6 people, starting at ¥96,540 per room (¥16,090 per person), the main building “SUITE” with a capacity of 4 people, starting at ¥38,040 per room (¥9,510 per person), and the “LOFT SUITE” with a capacity of 8 people, starting at ¥47,040 per room (¥5,880 per person).
The company commented, “We aim to revive the good old things, inspire new sensibilities, and restore mind and body. This hotel is intended to become a new tourist hub in Yokohama Chinatown.”
