On the 1st of the month, a torso believed to be that of a female was discovered in the waters near Yamashita Park in Naka Ward, Yokohama. On the 18th, the prefectural police conducted an underwater search of the surrounding area. The body was found missing its head and lower body, and authorities suspect it may have been deliberately dismembered. The case is being investigated as abandonment of a corpse.
