Public Viewing Event at Yokohama Stadium Features Team Mascots and Entertainment

The Yokohama DeNA BayStars are hosting public viewing events for the “2025 JERA Climax Series Central League Final Stage” at Yokohama Stadium (Yokohama Park, Naka Ward, Yokohama).

The team finished second in the Central League and advanced to the Climax Series. They defeated the Giants in the First Stage and progressed to the Final Stage. All Final Stage games are being held at Hanshin Koshien Stadium, the home ground of the Central League champion Hanshin Tigers.

During the public viewing at Yokohama Stadium, cheering for teams other than the BayStars is prohibited. Various events are held from before the game starts until after it ends. DB Starman, DB Kirara, BART&CHAPY, the official performance team Diana, and stadium MCs appear and perform various acts from special performance platforms set up near the infield seats.

Despite rainy weather on the opening day, over 7,000 people attended. When batters reached base, DB Starman and DB Kirara stood on the stadium bases to energize the crowd. Attendees wearing blue clothing and blue raincoats raised cheers and support, turning Yokohama Stadium blue.

During the seventh inning, Lucky 7 fireworks went off, exciting the venue with booming sounds and light that could be heard and seen outside the stadium. If the team wins the game, additional fireworks are scheduled after the game ends.

The BayStars unfortunately lost the first game 0-2. Due to the “advantage system” where the league champion team is given one automatic win, the Hanshin Tigers started with a one-win advantage. Therefore, the BayStars need four wins to advance.

Event schedule: October 16-17 – Gates open at 4:30 PM, game starts at 6:00 PM; October 18-19 – Gates open at 12:00 PM, game starts at 2:00 PM; October 20-22 – Gates open at 4:30 PM, game starts at 6:00 PM (October 21-22 are reserve dates).

Admission is free. If games at Koshien Stadium are not held due to weather conditions, the public viewing events will not take place.
