1. Yokohama DeNA BayStars: “Recapture Yokohama” in 2025

The Yokohama DeNA BayStars, who achieved Japan’s top honor last year, have set their 2025 season slogan as “Recapture Yokohama,” aiming for their first league championship in 27 years. With an elite pitching staff including ace Katsuki Azuma and Trevor Bauer, combined with a powerhouse batting lineup featuring Hideki Maki, Keita Sano, Yoshitomo Tsutsugo, Toshiro Miyazaki, Koki Kajiwara, Keito Mori, and Yudai Yamamoto, the team is ready to battle through the pennant race.

    Yokohama DeNA BayStars

    The Yokohama DeNA BayStars are a professional baseball team based in Yokohama, Japan, competing in Nippon Professional Baseball’s Central League. Originally founded in 1950 as the Taiyo Whales, the team was later renamed the Yokohama BayStars in 1993 and became the DeNA BayStars in 2012 after being acquired by DeNA, a digital services company. The team plays its home games at Yokohama Stadium and has won two Japan Series championships (1960, 1998).
