Around 1:50 a.m., a witness reported to the fire department: “A single-vehicle accident. A car fell from the staircase section of the riverbank down to the cycling path.”
A man in his 40s who was in the vehicle was transported to the hospital but was conscious and able to speak.
The vehicle had overturned, but by the time firefighters arrived, the man had already gotten out of the car on his own.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
