Around 5:20 PM on the 18th, a woman in her 50s spotted three brown bears in the yard of a residence in Maruyama Nishimachi 2, Chuo Ward, Sapporo, and called the police. According to the Sapporo Nishi Police Station, the three bears appeared to be a parent and cubs and returned to the mountains.
