The fire broke out in a unit of a one-story apartment building in Koyo Town, Honbetsu.
On June 5, just before 7:00 PM, the fire department reported to the police that “smoke was coming from inside the house and the door was about to catch fire.”
The fire was mostly extinguished about 20 minutes later, but one person was found unconscious and taken to the hospital.
