In the Hokkaido constituency of the House of Councillors election, incumbent Kenshi Katsube (65) from the Constitutional Democratic Party has secured victory.
Kenshi Katsube served four terms as a member of the Hokkaido Prefectural Assembly before being elected to the House of Councillors for the first time in 2019.
He has now secured his second term.
