When you think of Tanukikoji, you think of the arcade, but it only covers up to the 7th block—the 8th to 10th blocks are not covered. I prefer that part, where there are more low-key shops with fewer tourists.
Tanukikoji arcade
The Tanukikoji arcade is a historic shopping arcade in Sapporo, Japan, first opened in 1873. It is one of the oldest arcades in the country and is covered, housing a long, vibrant street of shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues. It remains a popular destination for both locals and tourists seeking a classic Japanese shopping experience.
