Through representative works that everyone imagines and lesser-known masterpieces that surprise with “Wait, this is also a treasure of Osaka?”, we introduce the charm of the city of Osaka💎

From Saturday, September 13, 2025, to Monday, October 13, the special exhibition “Treasures of Osaka at the Osaka Museum of History” will be held at the Osaka Museum of History, located at 4-chome Otemae, Chuo-ku, Osaka City!

The highlight of this exhibition is the “Treasures of Osaka,” consisting of “things” and “events” left behind by people born and raised in Osaka.

This includes not only famous representative pieces that everyone knows but also surprising works that make you think, “Even something like this?”

The exhibition is categorized by five indices, clearly introducing the significance and appeal of each piece. The structure allows visitors to recognize Osaka’s diverse facets while sensing its geographical charm and long history.

On August 28, 2025, an event was held at the Reborn Stage of the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion, located within the ‘EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai Japan’ venue in Osaka’s Konohana Ward, and we had the chance to visit!

As the show began, the sunflower fairies, Hirasol Maria and Hirasol Alba, appeared as the MCs and introduced the charm of .

For this day, the popular character Dulcinea from ‘Shima Spain Village’ came all the way to the Osaka-Kansai Expo!

According to the MC’s explanation, she was specially wearing a summer outfit for the occasion.

Osaka Museum of History

While it does not have a long historical background, it reflects the city’s contemporary focus on public health education and medical innovation.

Reborn Stage

The Reborn Stage is a modern cultural landmark in Shanghai, China, built in 2018 on the former site of the Shanghai Textile Machinery Factory. It serves as a vibrant public performance space and a symbol of urban regeneration, transforming industrial heritage into a hub for contemporary arts and community events.

Shima Spain Village

Shima Spain Village is a Spanish-themed amusement park located in Mie Prefecture, Japan, which opened in 1994. It was designed to authentically replicate a Spanish town, complete with architecture, restaurants, and live flamenco shows, to promote cultural exchange. The park was developed near the site of the historic Shima Maruyama battery, a military fortification from the Meiji era.

Dulcinea

“Dulcinea” is not a physical place but a fictional character from Miguel de Cervantes’ 17th-century novel *Don Quixote*. She is the idealized love interest of the protagonist, Don Quixote, who imagines her as a noble lady despite her reality as a simple peasant woman. The name “Dulcinea” has since become a byword for an unattainable, idealized object of affection in literature and culture.
