A woman in her 30s and a boy around 2 to 3 years old were found dead in an apartment in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture. It is believed to be a murder-suicide.

According to police, around 9 a.m. today, an administrative agency reported to the police station that they had received an email from a woman in her 30s living in an apartment in Kakemachi, Okazaki City, hinting at suicide.

When police officers rushed to the apartment, they found a woman in her 30s hanging inside the room, and a boy around 2 to 3 years old lying on a futon, both deceased.

The entrance and balcony were locked, and police are proceeding with confirming the identities and determining the causes of death, suspecting that the woman attempted a murder-suicide.
