An art exhibition blending paper-cut art and light will begin in Nagoya this Saturday, the 12th.

The exhibition, held at the Denki Bunka Kaikan in Naka Ward, Nagoya, will feature 24 works by a paper-cut artist from Aichi Prefecture. The display includes pieces that change appearance depending on lighting, as well as animated projections of Aichi’s nature and townscapes accompanied by music, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. The exhibition will run from the 12th of this month until the end of next month.

Denki Bunka Kaikan

The Denki Bunka Kaikan (Electric Culture Hall) is a historic building in Tokyo, Japan, completed in 1936 as a hub for promoting electrical technology and culture. Designed in an Art Deco style, it served as the headquarters for the Tokyo Electric Light Company and later became a symbol of Japan’s rapid modernization. Today, it is recognized as an Important Cultural Property and remains a landmark of early 20th-century industrial heritage.
